House Churches

As you may well know and have heard many times over; “church is not this building.” In fact, it is not any building. It is you. It is me. It is anyone and everyone who has put their belief and faith in Jesus Christ. We are the church!

If we read Acts 2:42-47, it is clear to see an example of how some of the first Christians “did church.” Now, please understand this is a model. We do not necessarily have to duplicate every characteristic and action found here but the one common thread that I see here and throughout the New Testament is that they did it together. Friend, Christianity was never meant to be lived out alone. Christian fellowship is essential in the goal of becoming more Christ like. Now remember, each House Church is made up of different people all in different stages of life’s journey. This means that each House Church itself will be different. They will vary in sizes and shapes, in age groups, in people groups, and especially in points of interests. It should always be a place to know, and be known; love and be loved. It is a group filled with imperfect people who are all in process of growing towards Christ like maturity. We all need this support as we live out our life in this present-day world.

So I write to encourage you to pray about this and choose one of these “House Churches” to call home. These leaders / facilitators have a strong servant like heart for the Lord as well as each and every one of us here at Grace Fellowship Church. Please consider joining together with us as we unite as the body of Christ to “do life together.”

If you are interested in being a part of the house churches, please contact the leader / host below. If you have any other questions, please call Sam or Summer in the church office, (623) 393-8386.

Weekly Memo Verse

The Lord was with Samuel as he grew up, and he let none of his words fall to the ground. And all Israel from Dan to Beersheba recognized that Samuel was attested as a prophet of the Lord. The Lord continued to appear at Shiloh, and there he revealed himself to Samuel through his word. And Samuel's word came to all Israel.
